Campsite with an EV charging point in Auvergne

Heading off on holiday in an electric car? At Camping de la Croze in Châtel-Guyon, charge your car right on site at one of our two reinforced sockets for campsite guests. Ideal for exploring the Puy-de-Dôme and the Clermont-Ferrand area without worrying about range.

How does charging work at the campsite?

  • 2 reinforced 3.7 kW sockets in the car park at the campsite entrance
  • For campsite guests only
  • Paid charging, managed directly in the Recharge+ app
  • Time slots can be booked in the app, but booking isn’t required
  • Remember to bring your own cable for a domestic socket

How long does charging take?

A 3.7 kW reinforced socket adds around 20 km of range per hour of charging. Plug in in the evening and by the next morning you’ll have around 200 km more, plenty to head off to Vulcania, the Puy de Dôme or Clermont-Ferrand.

This is slow charging, designed for overnight or for days spent at the campsite, not a rapid charging station.

Compatible with your electric car: Tesla, Renault, Peugeot…

Our reinforced sockets work with all electric and plug-in hybrid cars, as long as you have a charging cable for a domestic socket. That includes the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, Renault Zoe and Megane E-Tech, Peugeot e-208 and e-2008, Volkswagen ID.3, Kia, Hyundai, Fiat 500e, Dacia Spring…

For a Tesla, use the Tesla Mobile Connector with its domestic socket adapter.

The ideal campsite for an electric road trip in Auvergne

Just 20 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand, the campsite is the perfect base: Riom is a few minutes away, Vulcania and the Puy de Dôme are under 30 minutes, and Vichy is less than an hour away.

Charge up at the campsite every evening and enjoy your days with peace of mind.
