At Camping de la Croze, we care about working with trusted local partners to enrich our holidaymakers’ stay, each an expert in their field: a pizzeria to treat your taste buds at our snack bar, a yoga teacher for moments of relaxation, a bike rental service to explore the volcanoes of Auvergne, a food truck for a change of pace, and nature guides for dusk walks on the volcanoes.
La Vendetta, the pizzas at our snack bar
Every summer, pizzeria La Vendetta, based in Saint-Bonnet-près-Riom, treats campsite guests to pizzas prepared for our snack bar. A locally much-loved spot (4.8/5 from over 180 reviews), known for its generous pizzas and quality ingredients. Their house speciality, the Bougnate, celebrates Auvergne’s local produce with Saint-Nectaire cheese, potatoes and bacon bits. No need to leave the campsite for a convivial family dinner: the pizza comes straight to you.
Yoga with Émoiyoga Audrey
For moments of relaxation, we welcome Audrey every summer, a teacher at Émoi Yoga, based in Riom. She runs yoga and aquayoga sessions right at the campsite, perfect for starting the day gently or unwinding after a day of sightseeing. An ideal activity for taking care of yourself on holiday, suitable for all levels.
Le Vélodrome and Volcanic Cycles, for exploring the volcanoes by bike
To set off and discover the volcanoes of Auvergne by bike, we have two complementary partners. Le Vélodrome, based in Châtel-Guyon, offers a whole range of bikes for hire — road, gravel, mountain bikes, electric e-bikes and children’s models — with helmet and repair kit included. Volcanic Cycles, in Enval, rounds out the offer with electric mountain bikes for hire (transport and delivery on quote). Plenty to explore the roads and trails around Châtel-Guyon, at your own pace and without a car.
The Auverbreizh food truck, for a change of pace
In summer, the Les Auverbreizh food truck makes a stop at the campsite. As the name suggests, this food truck blends Breton and Auvergne traditions: wheat crêpes and buckwheat galettes, plain or filled, prepared right in front of you. A great way to vary your meals without leaving the campsite, for a quick and tasty dinner between activities.
Dusk walks on the Viallard plateau with Pierre and Kevin
To enjoy the sunsets over the Chaîne des Puys, every summer we offer dusk walks on the Viallard plateau, led by Pierre and Kevin, nature guides from the Empreinte and Auvergne Animation Nature outfits. As the sun dips behind the volcanoes, the plateau lights up with colour: a gentle, friendly walk, open to all campsite guests (families, children, friends, couples), to take in an exceptional panorama over the Chaîne des Puys in a warm atmosphere. Several evening dates are offered in July and August: bring good shoes, a torch and a light jumper for the evening chill. Information and booking directly at campsite reception.

It’s also a way of supporting local businesses in the Puy-de-Dôme.
